Having established a new factory with an investment of 10 million TL after its two factories in BURSA – DOSAB and HOSAB, Hüner Aluminum plans to increase its product range and produce its own product under the brand “Hüner” next year.
Hüner Kriko and Spare Parts Industry, which was founded in 1975 and started its production life in a 12 square meter workshop with a small capital, started its activities in 1989 in Demirtaş Organized Industrial Zone (DOSAB) on an area of 7 thousand square meters. With the investments made, the company has reached the mold design and production capability by producing pressed sheet metal forming, aluminum injection molding and various assemblies in a closed area of 12 thousand square meters and increasing its product range. It included a 17 thousand square meter factory with a total area of 17 thousand square meters. Having completed the 3rd factory building in Akçalar Industrial Zone, which will have a closed area of 25 thousand square meters on an area of 21 thousand 500 square meters, as of the end of last year, the company started its activities at the beginning of this year under the name of Hüner Aluminum.
Expressing that they are among the top 5 companies in Europe in turbo engine pipe production, Hüner Jack Owner Hüseyin Karabacak said that their goal is to be among the top 3 companies. Karabacak stated that they are the second company in Europe in the production of metal resinators (silencers) used in turbo engine pipes. Stating that they allocate 2 percent of their turnover to R&D, Karabacak stated that they aim to produce their own product under the brand of ‘Hüner’ next year by focusing on research and development activities.
90 percent of the parts are exported
Expressing that the Hüner Aluminum factory has an annual production capacity of 4,500 tons, Hüner Jack Owner Hüseyin Karabacak said that this year, the production of aluminum profiles will be started by extrusion method and they will increase this capacity to 9 thousand tons by the end of the year. Karabacak stated that the factory is an investment of 8.5 million TL in total, including machinery and equipment, and that the total cost will reach 10 million TL with the establishment of the laboratory. Reminding that the engine cooling and turbo engine air pipes used in the automotive industry are produced in the factory in HOSAB, Karabacak said, “As a production capability, we can shape stainless, aluminum and steel pipes with a diameter of between 6 and 65 with 13 CNC pipe bending machines. 90 percent of the parts welded are exported with work-specific machines and 9 welding robots.
This year, the capacity will increase to 9 thousand tons
Hüner Jack’s Owner Hüseyin Karabacak explained that an investment in machinery and control equipment, ANSYS software, which can perform structural analysis of materials and parts within the scope of the R&D project, was made in order to respond to new projects commissioned in the Hasanağa factory and to increase the quality level. He stated that after that, 60 people will be employed. Karabacak noted that 1450 tons of aluminum extrusion press and equipment were invested in the factory with a production capacity of 4,500 tons, the capacity will reach 9 thousand tons with the installation of a 1450 tons aluminum extrusion press this year, and it is also planned to invest in a material physics laboratory and pipe interior cleaning units.
The 2013 target is to increase the share of exports in turnover to 70%.
Karabacak stated that the share of exports in last year’s turnover was 60 percent, and that they aim to increase this rate to 70 percent this year.
Stating that they export to Germany, Italy, Poland, Hungary, Romania, the USA and China, Karabacak said that new cooperation researches continue on the production of aluminum extrusion profiles. Explaining that they delivered 2 million 100 thousand pipe parts and 2 million 250 thousand sheet metal parts last year, Karabacak said that their prediction for this year is to produce 2 million 450 thousand pipe parts and 2 million 400 thousand sheet metal parts.
